Книга "Век под крылом белого аиста" многопланова и интересна. Это не только исследования по истории предприятия, но и раздумья ученого о путях развития винно-коньячного производства на рубеже двух тысячелетий в условиях развала бывшего единого государства и изменения всего хозяйственного уклада. 

Семнадцатилетним мальчишкой пришел автор на предприятие и прошел путь от рабочего до генерального директора предприятия. Причем возглавил Олег Маркович Баев завод именно тогда, когда он оказался в самых сложных условиях, попав под бездумный партийный меч "сухого" закона.  

Главная заслуга автораэтой книги в том, что такое сложное производство не только полностью сохранилось в условиях катаклизмов 80-х - 90-х годов, но и значительно расширилось. Качество коньяков вышло на мировой уровень.

Настоящий "золотой" и "серебряный" дождь медалей увенчал труд тираспольских виноделов.

И в этом тоже есть конкретная заслуга директора-ученого, который сам является одним из авторов лучших коньяков "KVINTa". Он нпоминает играющего тренера. Такого в коллективе уважают, так как каждое его слово весомо. Главным достоинством на предприятии являются люди - говорит Олег Маркович. Это золотой фонд завода. Именно поэтому главное внимание в книге уделено им. Они подлинные творцы истории старейшего винодельческого предприятия Приднестровья, главные герои книги.

Книга О.М.Баева основательный труд, который заинтересует не только виноделов и историков, но и любого образованного человека.

The book "Century Under White Stork Wing" by Oleg Baev is multidimensional and interesting. This is not just a research in the enterprise history, byt a scientist's thoughts of the ways of wine and cognac production at the  time whenthe Soviet Union has colapsedand the very economic system of the society has changed.

As a seventcen-year-old boy the author came to the enterprise and made his way from a worker to the Director Generalof the company. It should be said that Oleg Markovich Baev heabed the distillery at the time when it found itself in the most complex conditions, having become a subject for a thoughtless Party Sword of Prohibision (Dry Law). 

The major of the author o the book is that such a complex productio was not only kept untouched in 80s - 90s cataclysms, but also enlarged considerably. The cognacs quality stepped upto the world's level. True "gold" and "silver" rain of medals has topped the labor of the Tiraspol distilers.

There is a particular merit of the Director-scientist in the fact, who is the co-author himself of one of the best KVINT cognacs.

He reminds a playing coach. Kind of person, who is respected by the team as every of his words is weighty. More tham once I had heard from him that the distillery's main part is its people.  They are a gold reserve of the distillery. That' s why they enjou the major attention in the book. They are the true history-makers of the oldest distillery of Transdniestria, the main characters of the book.

"Century Under White Stork Wing" is not just a book you need to have, it is really thrilling book.

This is not a bureaucratic inventory of the historic events; this is an inner re-thinking of what had been lived, thoughts of tne present day and tomorrow. At the same time the O.M.Baev's book is a solid work, which will be of certain interest for both wine-makers and historians, as every educated person.
