Moldova familiarizes Russia with wine control measures

Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Moldova in Russia Andrei Neguta has familiarized Gennady Onishenko - the Head of the RosPotrebNadzor [Russian federal supervisory agency for consumer goods quality] and Russia's Chief Federal Sanitary Inspector with quality control measures applied to the wine exported in Russia.
 
According to Neguta, the ambassador and the Russian inspector have carefully reviewed the situation with Moldovan wine exportation to the Russian market. Gennady Onishenko thanked the Moldovan representative for the information about measures, provided by the Economy and Agriculture Ministries for controlling quality of the wines exported to Russia.
 
According to the ambassador, Onishenko has expressed a hope that the presented materials are qualitative; after their study Russian party will take a decision regarding the time frame for inviting once again experts from Moldova to continue the discussion in RosPotrebNadzor laboratories. Neguta said Moldovan experts will learn more about Russian procedure of wine quality control after such collaboration.
 
The ambassador said the meeting with Gennady Onishenko is a “good sign” for Moldovan wine producers, which can continue supplying their qualitative products to Russian partners.
