Moldova will allow the export of wine products without the certificates of conformity

27.06.2010 13:50

Moldova will allow the export of wine products without the obligatory presence of certificates of conformity, if it is not required in countries-importers. This is stipulated by the amendments to the Law on production and circulation of ethyl alcohol and alcohol products the filing of which was approved by the government.

The amendments are filed in order to facilitate the export of Moldavian wine-cognac products at the request of wine-making companies. They lament that their partners in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan are not asking the Moldavian certificates because they have to certify wine products in their country, and customs authorities of Moldova require the Moldavian certificates.

After filing the amendment to the law the Moldavian exporters of wine won’t have to present the certificates of conformity on outbound products. At the same time, in order to increase the responsibility to provide economic interests of the state and to strengthen Moldavian reputation as a supplier of qualitative wine products, the exporters will present to customs authorities declaration of conformity on products within their own responsibility.
